Logan City is situated between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and in the last 10+ years has experienced a significant boom. Due to the increase for residential properties in reasonable proximity to major centres such as Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Logan City offered the perfect balance between residential affordability and community lifestyle. In recent years, house prices in the area have significantly increased and rental properties in the area are in demand. Post war demand for housing was the primary reason the locale was developed, and as such, most of the residential dwellings in the area are post war standard homes. Recently there has been some development of unit and apartment complexes, but primarily available are two and three bedroom, low set homes.
Logan was officially declared a city in its own right in 1981 and the local council set about constructing a series of public works in the area – most notably parks and sporting grounds.
