More About The Grange

The area was named after the Grange Estate, which was put up for sale in 1903 and consisted of 16 perch house lots. The Grange tannery, which operated in the 1860s, used Kedron Brook as an outfall. The suburb was developed in the early 1900s, with urbanization moving toward Grange from Wilston and Windsor. The area is served by several schools, including a Catholic primary school (1917) and a Wilston primary school (1920), and features a range of parks and recreational facilities. Grange has good access to transportation, with the Bowen Bridge and Blackall Bridge providing road access and a nearby train station in Wilston.
