From December 2015, all Queensland pools must meet the safety standard.  All residential pools in Queensland must be registered with the QBCC. Failure to do so could result in a fine.

• Register your pool – If you haven’t already registered, record your details online or if you’re not sure, search the pool safety register database
• All Queensland pools must meet the safety standard – make sure your pool barrier complies with the law – refer to the link below ‘Does your pool comply?’ or to make it even easier, use the online pool compliance checklist
• Get a Pool Safety Certificate – This is a requirement only when properties are being sold or leased.
